Kenneth E. Armstrong, 76, of Secor died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at Heritage Manor of El Paso.
Kenneth was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Woodford County, Ill., to Guy and Sadie (Noffsinger) Armstrong. He married Beverly J. Hodel on Oct. 14, 1951, in Eureka, Ill. She preceded him in death on Aug. 30, 2005.
Surviving are six sons, Gregory (Connie) Armstrong of Secor, Steven (Rae) Armstrong of El Paso, Leslie (Lynn) Armstrong of Secor, Ronald (Charlotte) Armstrong of Secor, Kevin (Iva Punke) Armstrong of Eureka and Jeffery (Tracy) Armstrong of Winchester, Ill.; three daughters, Kathy (Deual) Sides of Bloomington, Kim (Thomas) Beckett of Ashland, Ill., and Tammie Tull of Minonk, Ill.; and one sister, Florence Whitaker of El Paso, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tracy and Timothy Armstrong; and a grandson, Steven Armstrong Jr.
Kenneth served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army.
He was a member of the Roanoke American Legion.
He was employed at Rivinius Inc., Eureka, in the maintenance department. He was Fire Chief of the Secor Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
Burial will be in Secor Cemetery, with military services by the Roanoke American Legion.
