Some Hae Bop
Jimmy Gene Peck-Bop
The only man to find pure joy in incomprehensible Scottish poetry and fart jokes. That’s
who he was. The mind of a scholar and the soul of a puppy; brilliant and playful and
brilliantly playful.
On 4/24/2019 we lost both the scholar and the puppy.
Jim “Bop” had many talents and passions in life, but his greatest accomplishment was
marrying his wife Janet 64 years ago! He adored her and was chivalrous to the very
end. Jim and Janet will forever go down as one of the great love stories.
Jim is also survived by his best friend and sister Patricia Louetta Black (Peck), three
children Tim, Patty and Rob Peck, Son-in-law and drinking/cigar buddy J.J, 3
Grandchildren Christopher, James and Robin Peck and 2 great-grandchildren Penelope
and Lincoln Peck.
Bop will be remembered as a great actor, playwright, tennis player, cook, lover of life,
skeptic, husband, father, pool hustler, popcorn eater, joke teller, hater of plastic ware
and shirts with words.
Jim was a man lightyears ahead of his era and those that got to know him know how
special he truly was. While we say goodbye to him now we know impact he had on all
of our lives will never fade.
And sae the lord be thankit.
