Donna Kathleen Heutmaker

Donna Kathleen HEUTMAKER Our beloved Mother passed away, peacefully, with her family surrounding her on December 15, 2006. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on October 18, 1917, the third child of Bernard E. and Loretta Ann Hogan.

Donna grew up in Minneapolis and married Norman G. Heutmaker in 1937. They moved to Kent in 1942 and founded Valley Glass Company, after the war.

Donna is survived by her six children, Norm (Whiz) and Sheila Heutmaker, Mike and Marijean Heutmaker, Dick and JoAnn Heutmaker, Joe and Linda Heutmaker, Mary and Steve Sharp and Laurie and Terry Escott. Donna, affectionately called GeeGee (Gorgeous Grandma) was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

Her family was her life's achievement and passionate joy. Donna was still her old self right to the end, full of dignity, grace and wit, always ready to give a hug or share a laugh. She was the last of her generation and a genuine Matriarch to her immediate and extended family. She had the most beautiful blue Irish eyes that twinkled when she told a story or when she wanted to get her own way. All of her family loves her dearly and she made each one of us feel as if we were the most special of all. Now our GeeGee is our Glorious Grandma. We love you Mom.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate her Life will be held at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Renton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30th. A Reception will follow immediately. Friends and family are invited to wear RED to help celebrate Donna's life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cameron Sharp (Donna's deceased grandson) Memorial Skate Park Fund at any US Bank. Please send in your favorite memory of Donna to the guestbook, we have established, in her honor, at http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/obits/.
