Pauline Linnell, 79 of Bigfork Montana, passed away on March, 9th, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
In 1989, Ron and Pauline Started Bigfork Protow. They, along with their dog Kibou have helped many people. Bigfork Protow continues to help the community to this day.
Pauline was born on February 15, 1941, in Hove, Sussex England, to Frederick Wesley Lewis and Irene Lewis (Horner)
On May 25th, 1949, the Family left the Port of Southampton on the ship Aquitania sailing to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and then boarded a train travelling all the way to their new home in Coutts, Alberta.
After graduating from Milk River High School she met and Married Ron Linnell of Sunburst, Montana. Ron and Pauline were married June 4th, 1960. They lived in Sunburst until 1979, when they moved to Kalispell in 1979 and then Bigfork in 1984.
In the Mid 1970’s she started working on as an EMT in Sunburst Montana. Her passion was always to improve patient care. She went on to become an instructor for First aid and CPR, first responders, EMT, pediatric and geriatric emergency care. She was an EMT examiner and taught Basic Trauma Life Support.
Pauline was also involved in MEMSA Conferences and classes for the Critical Illness and Trauma foundation. She taught moulage classes as well as advanced ambulance driving classes.
Besides teaching throughout Montana, she also taught classes in Alaska, New Mexico, Nevada and Pennsylvania and more.
Throughout the years, she also worked on Creston QRU and well as the Bigfork Ambulance.
She proudly became a Naturalized Citizen of the United States of America October 10th, 1995.
Pauline is preceded in death by her mother Irene, Father Frederick, Brother Frederick, and her son Russell Linnell.
Pauline is survived by her loving husband Ron of 59 years, son Raymond (Lisa) Linnell, daughter Renee (Ken) Foote, 6 Grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Jake, Beau, Brandon and Kendra, and 4 great grandchildren, Brantley, Ellie, Leilah and Bayler.
Pauline was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
A celebration of life will be held later in the summer.
