Joe Dan Martin, 85, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana, Kentucky. He was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, December 31, 1921, to the late E. Case and Annie Ammerman Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of Unity Christian Church and a retired Ladish Company employee.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Norma Vivian Lyons Martin; and son, Jerry Wayne Martin. Survivors include: one daughter, Carolyn (Rod) Kincaid, Louisville, Kentucky; one brother, Wood Martin, of Ohio. Five grandchildren, Wil Kincaid, Richard Kincaid, Jennifer Kincaid Adams, Brandon Martin and Bret Martin; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, in Battle Grove Cemetery, by Rev. Howard Livingood. Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home. Active pallbearers are Will Kincaid, Richard Kincaid, Billy Martin, Rod Kincaid, Brandon Martin and Bret Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Les and Jennifer Adams. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Highway 62 E, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
