Calvin Joseph Martin 79, of Cynthiana died Wednesday, Oct 27, 1999, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Martin was born Nov 3, 1919, in Harrison County, a son of late Calvin Joseph & Lillian Forsythe Ammerman Martin, Sr.

He was a farmer, a retired Vocational agriculture teacher having taught in the Harrison Co. School system, he was a member, Elmer, Trustee and past chairman of the board of the Cynthiana Christian Church, he was a member of the Harrison Memorial Hospital Board, 5th 3rd Bank board, retired Teachers Association, and he was an Army Comabt Veteran and served in the invasion of North Africa.

His brothers Reed and Joseph Martin preceded his in death.

Survivors include his wife Jane Berry Martin; his daugther Susan Berry Martin (Richard P) Dycus; one brother Billie Martin, Cynthiana; and two grandchildren Benjamin Palmer Dycus and Margaret Elizabeth Dycus.

Funeral servicers were Nov 1, 1999 at the Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Larry W. Bishop.

Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Richard Dycus, Kenneth Batte, Dr. Robert K. Berry, Reed A Martin, Jr., Steven Humphrey, Stanley A Houston, Donald J Miller and James Matthew Forsythe.
