P. D. Welch, a life-long resident of Clinton passed away at his home south of the city at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning after a three months illness with dropsy and other complications.
Spent Life Here
He was born on a farm east of Clinton. His early life was spent in farming but in later years he moved to Clinton.
Here he was engaged in railroad work until his health failed and he was obligated to give up his work. His entire life was spent in Clinton and this community.
Had Five Children
He was married to Mary A.Drake, December 11, 1884, and to this union the following children were born, who with the widow survives, Floyd T., Fred L., Gertrude Tucker, Roy E. and Bessie McAboy. He is also survived by a two brothers, C.D. Welch of Birkbeck and D.G., Clinton; twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Interment will be made in Memorial Park, Woodlawn cemetery . This will be the first burial to be made in Memorial Park, the new addition in Woodlawn Cemetery.
