Cecil Ernestine "Teeny" Claytor Balser, 76, of Buena Vista, passed away, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born April 17, 1940, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Malcolm Claytor and Bessie Estelle Claytor. She was a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jesse Thomas Balser; and brother, Malcolm L. "Buck" Claytor. Surviving are her three children, Candace Balser Bane and husband, Barry, Jacob Balser, and wife, Shannon, and Thomas Brian Balser and wife, Tammy; seven grandchildren, Addison Walton and husband, Chris, Chase Fauber, Dakota Balser, Carrington Balser, Channing Balser, Tanner Fix and Casey Fix; sister, Virginia C. "Sis" Tyree, along with many nieces and nephews; and special friends. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at Buena Vista Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryon LePere officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista.
