Marilyn McClure, 89, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at North Okaloosa Medical Center.
Marilyn was born on January 13, 1927 in Racine, Wisconsin.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Rex G. and Mark A. McClure (Karen).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley E. McClure
In 1946, Marilyn married Wesley, a highly-decorated B-24 bomber pilot, in Dayton, Ohio. They then moved to Gainesville, FL where their first son Rex was born in 1950. Soon after, the family moved to St. Petersburg FL, where their second son Mark was born in 1956. They all enjoyed recreational boating, skiing, fishing, dirt bikes, sport shooting, and many other outdoor activities. During these wonderful years, the family lived in Madeira Beach, FL, and in the later years, spent much time at their weekend getaway cabin near Oldtown FL. In 2013, Marilyn and Rex moved to Crestview FL, to be close to Mark and Karen.
A private burial will be held at Old Bethel Cemetery, Crestview, Florida.
