George Washington Wyant, the son of Isaac P. Wyant and Polly van Bushkirk, went by the name Washington Wyant. His first wife Margaret Martin died in 1872 in Carverton, Luzerne Co., Pa. Three children were born to this marriage, William Wyant b. 8 Feb 1857, George Washington Wyant, Jr b. 1863 and David Wyant b. 1866. After the death of his wife Margaret, Washington Wyant and his family moved to West Pittston, where he married Frances H Ayres.
