Robert worked in the amusement business for years owning his own company, Byrum Music & Amusements for many years.

Robert's love of pool led him to own several bars and pool establishments: Pockets Bar & Billiards of Matthews, NC, and Two Step and Sportscaster in Pineville, NC.

Robert was a charter member of the James K. Polk Lodge, Pineville, NC.

He is survived by his wife
Raynell Gladden Byrum of the home, his cherished Fur Babies - Raven and Lucy,

Debra Michelle Byrum
Karen Byrum McAfee
Debra Lynn Hughes

Eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at McEwen Funeral Home, Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 with the visitation from 12:30 pm - 2 pm, and the funeral at 2 pm. Burial will follow at 4 pm at Monroe City Cemetery (Suncrest), Monroe, NC.

His daughter, Patricia Ann Byrum Helms Bass, was by his 1st wife,
Phyllis Ann Wells Byrum Underwood - my 1st cousin, per Nancy Arbutus Mullis
