Dennis was educated at Maine Township High School East in Park Ridge, IL and Northwestern University. He later joined the U.S. Air Force. After a medical discharge, he worked for 17 years in the commercial tax management field for a subsidiary of Household Finance. His last job was selling recreational vehicles.
When he was only 19, Mr. Boncimino recorded a pop single that fell just short of making it to the Top 40. "She's That Kind of Girl" and its flip side, "Sherry," worked its way up the charts in 1965 and stopped short of the recording milestone, at No. 41.
He was survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters from his first marriage, his mother, a brother, a sister, and three grandchildren.
