T. B. "Dick" Conner, 83, died Monday, November 13, 2006 at G. V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South.
Mr. Conner was an avid fisherman. He knew where all the best fishing spots were and could spend tales about the big fish that got away. When he wasn't sitting in a boat fishing, he was roaming the woods hunting. He had the ability to repair or build just about anything. He ran an outboard motor repair shop as a hobby. He said he felt closest to God when he was in the Lord's great outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Conner is survived by his wife, Jean Conner of Jackson; son, Mike Conner of Jackson; daughter, Donna Conner of Pensacola, FL; sister, Bettye Conner of Jackson; granddaughter, Melanie Conner of Jackson; and great granddaughter, Hayden Ashley Conner, of Jackson. He will be fondly remembered and truly missed by his family.
