Records of the Greenwood Cemetery Association identify Henry Morgenthaler, Jr.'s parents as Henry Morgenthaler, Sr., and Caroline Morgenthaler. The fact that Henry Morgenthaler, Jr., died at age 87 on February 26, 1937, suggests that 1849 could be the year of his birth, while recognizing that he is not likely to have been born before February 27, 1849, or after February 26, 1850.
