Although the tombstone clearly indicates that Philip Klein is buried in this Elder George Klein family cemetery, Revolutionary War burial records show that he is/was buried in Frieden's, Penn Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; this is clearly an error in the Revolutionary War burial records. A possible explanation for this error could be that his burial was designated "Northkill," and the only "known" cemetery (this in 1936 when this record was created) at that location was the Frieden's Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery. A local, family cemetery may not have been evident to those searching for a burial location.

Philip Klein b. 1742 is clearly buried in the Klein family cemetery, Jefferson Township, Berks County, PA. He applied for a patent to the land he inherited from his father George and named it Philipsburg. There is no Freiden's Cemetery in Penn Township. (Frieden's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery is located in the borough of Bernville; the borough is surrounded by Penn Township). I have no idea how that got recorded on his Army service record.
