The Mass of Christian Burial for Jessie Fillinger, 69, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corpus Chrisli Catholic Church in Newcastle, with Fr. Sam Hayes as celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the McColley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Fillinger died Dec. 14, 1987 at Weston Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. She was born July 231918 in Tryon, Neb. to Bert and Inez Cass. When she was eight years old, the family moved to Wyoming. In November 1935, she married Ralph Fillinger and they ranched south of Newcastle. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister. Survivors include one son, Don Fillinger of Newcastle; two daughters, Marlene Gregory of Newcastle and Lois Hunter of Gillette; two sisters, Roxie Jones of Vail, Colo, and Vernie Rea of Powell; nine grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. A memorial has been established to the Weston Manor Nursing Home.
