He married the love of his life, Lovona (Vonnie) R. Jackson in Ainsworth, Neb. on July 28th, 1956. They had four children: Rose, Chuck, Joe and Ruth.
He was in the Army from 1953 to 1956, discharged in 1961. He lived and worked on ranches in his early years, then he worked construction and pipeline until he retired.
His biggest passion and hobby was his horses, cows and various animals that they always had.
