April 7, 1930 - February 24, 2020 Hilbert E. Hopkins, age 89, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Viola Pearce Hopkins; his daughter, Angie Scott & husband Roy of Acworth, GA; his daughter-in-law, Gina Hopkins of London; five grandchildren, Ashley Maeger & husband Morgan, Chris Hopkins & wife Emily, Lindsay Chenoweth & husband Zack, Michael Hopkins & wife Jenna, Brian Hopkins; two great grandchildren, Brody Maeger and Adam Hopkins, plus a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Myrtle Wyatt Hopkins; his son, Bill Hopkins; his siblings, Alma Felts, Lawrence Hopkins, Maurice Hopkins, Randall Hopkins, Casper Hopkins, Delbert Hopkins, Hughie Hopkins.
Hilbert attended Community Christian Church. He served in the United States Army, having enrolled during the Korean War. He was retired from Griffin Pie/Flowers Bakery where he worked for 42 years.

Funeral services for Hilbert E. Hopkins will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Bart Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London. Military honors will be provided by the local DAV Chapter 158 of Keavy, Ky.
