Born April 4, 1974 in Weisbaden, Germany, Andrea graduated from Valdosta High School in 1992 and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 + years.
She was a loving daughter, mother, wife, sister and special friend to so many. She spent recent years completely devoted to her two beautiful children. Her love for family and life will live on through them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Polly Alligood.
Surviving Andrea are her husband , David McGourin; son Liam McGourin and daughter Whitley McGourin all of Gulf Breeze, Florida; sisters Michele Alligood Coit (Bob) of Phoenix, Arizona and Gigi Alligood Taylor of Valdosta, Georgia; nieces Bridgette Taylor Dowse (Chris), Elizabeth Taylor Roland (Alex) and Julia Anne Taylor all of Valdosta, Georgia ; mother-in-law Rosalee McGourin and brother-in-law Dan McGourin, both of Lacey, Washington. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members.
Funeral Services, with military honors, will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Hurlburt Base Chapel with Chaplain Eric Dixon serving as officiant. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM.
An intimate interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery / NAS Pensacola.
