Myrtle Arabel Johnson James, 93, passed away Feb. 11, 1998 in West Valley City, UT.

Born August 8, 1904 in Vernal, UT, to Alfred Summers Johnson Jr. and Mary Lavina Taylor. Married Charles M. James on April 11, 1921 in Vernal, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Myrtle was an active member of the LDS Church. Her hobbies were crocheting, reading and traveling. She was a very loving, caring person and would help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Survived by daughters, Nita Smith of West Valley City, UT and Sharon (Wade) Robinson of Craig, CO; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles; two sons, Albert Richard and Charles Terry; 13 brothers and sisters; and son-in-law, Bert H. Smith. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Funeral services will be Tues. Feb. 17, 1998 at 10 a.m. at Granger West Third Ward, 3935 W. 2925 South, West Valley City, UT. The family will receive friends Feb. 17, one hour prior to services. Interment will be Vernal Memorial Park, 1700 So. 500 East, Vernal, UT. Funeral Directors: Valley View Funeral Home.
