Dwight L. Hauser, age 94, of Coal City in Owen County passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington. He was born in Coal City on March 7, 1925, son of the late Selma Dayhuff Hauser and William Henry Harrison Hauser.
Dwight served as Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy for 20 years as an aircraft mechanic. After he retired from the Navy, he went on to continue to travel the world and retired after another 20 years from Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
Dwight is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Jean Loos Hauser and his daughters, Deborah McEnery and Suzanne Hauser.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Vance of Spencer; son-in-law, Liam McEnery of Linton; stepdaughters, Sandra Mann, Karen Vance and Susan Downs; granddaughter, Tanya Wheeler of Lake Stevens, Wash.; great-grandson Jeffrey Rickard of Lake Stevens, Wash. and sister, Marjorie Hauser Main of Indianapolis.
