Ralph was for many years a member of the Nazarene Church of Mountain View, MO, having accepted the Lord as his Savior while he was a boy at home.
A Veteran of World War II, he served much of his time in England near the birth place of his father and grandparents. Ralph worked hard all his life.He wasn't much for hobbies, but he loved taking apart an old tractor, putting it back together and making it run, and if you would listen, he would tell you all about it.
He worked several years at Caterpillar in Peoria, Illinois, then moved back to Missouri, to the family farm and worked for Will McVicker as a mechanic until he retired.
Preceding him in death, were his parents, James and Maud Carr; his wife, Pauline Sue; his brother, Paul Carr; his sisters, Mabel Reese and Grace Cooper; and his son-in-law, Melvin Kaut.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Carr; daughter, Carol and husband, Ronnie, King of Summersville, MO, and daughter, Connie Houck of Mountain View, MO; eight grandchildren, Scott Kaut, Christina and husband, Darrin, Odom, and Jarad Kaut, all of Summersville, MO; Eric and wife, Shawna Kaut, of Mountain View, MO; Randy and wife, Angela, Brooks, Lisa Wake, Jason and wife, Carrie, Houck, and Sammy Houck and fiancee, Amanda Bowen, all of Mountain View, MO; and fifteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Earl H. Carr, of Springfield, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
Ralph loved and was loved by his family. What more could a man ask from this life than to be loved.
Services were held Tuesday July 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of God in Mountain View, MO with Rev. Oscar Cunningham and Rev. Randy Brooks officiating. Interment was in Bell Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
