Velma Ward Cochran, 75, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 30, 1929, at Atkins, a daughter of the late Will Ward and Parthina Dudley Ward.
She was reared and received her education at Morrilton.
She was co-owner of Cochran Motors for 25 years before retiring in 1988.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.G. Cochran, who died June 1, 1988; two brothers, Don Ward and Seaburn Ward; and three sisters, Elizabeth Williams, Mary Robinson and Effie Shiflett.
Survivors include one son, Dannie Wayne Cochran of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mildred Young and Dolly Smith, both of Morrilton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Rev. Billy West officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
