Wilson - Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Paul Eugene Burton, 62, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday Dec. 29, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Dewayne Jennings officiating. Cremation services will follow at Alexander Gray Crematory.
Paul was born on Dec. 18, 1955 at Duncan to the late Mr. Billy Eugene Burton and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Fondren) Burton. He departed this life on Dec. 20, 2017 at Oklahoma City.
Paul was raised following the Oil Patch jobs in southern Oklahoma. He began a career in the Oilfield driving transports and working as a roughneck. He married the former Ms. Tessie Shearing on June 4, 1989 at Las Vegas,NV. They made their home in Poolville. Paul was a great provider and hard worker. He worked as an independent Oil and Gas Producer most of his life. His hobbies included restoring old motorcycles and sports cars. He was a big fan of Formula One racing and loved watching old cinemas. Paul was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore.
Preceding him in death are his Parents and a sister, Marilyn Jean.
Survivors include his wife Tessie of the home; children, Jerica Ann Burton of Wilson; Erin Shearing - Kirkland and Robbie of Lone Grove, and Bryce Shearing and wife Tori also of Lone Grove; sister, Betty June Strimple and husband Bruce of Kerrville, TX; brother, Billy Don Burton of Ardmore; 7 grandchildren, Natalie, Nathaniel, Caven, Raven, Ember, Aislynn and Lilian; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Pallbearers Rodney Gaither, Randy Gaither, Steve Vines, Ken Matthews, Bryce Shearing and Robbie Kirkland.
