HUNTINGTON-Patsy Joan Herron Grange peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, February 21, 2020, of natural causes.
She was born to Hugh McKinley and Lucille Collard Herron on March 31, 1935, in Price Utah. She was married and sealed to Earnest James Grange on January 6, 1955, in the Manti Utah Temple. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1973.
Our mother loved family history and served for many years assisting others with their research. Her highlight was her family history mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteering for the 2002 Olympic Games held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Through the years, she served in many callings and loved being part of the choir. She loved working in her yard, growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables, then sharing her abundance with family and friends. She was an avid Jazz and BYU fan.
Mom is survived by her brother, Franklin Dee Herron, Nampa ID; children, Hugh (Sherrie) Grange, Huntington, UT, Cynthia (Scott) Raffensparger, Orem, UT, Sharon (Mike), Spanish Fork, UT, and Steve (Jen) Grange, Huntington, UT; nine grandchildren, J L & Shelly, Aron Jim and Ashley, Justin, Colton and Makaila, MacKenzi and Trent, Paul and Alyssa, Todd, Tyler-Kelly, Roper and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Mary Herron; a brother, Robert Lester Herron; a daughter, Deanna Lee Grange Van Zyverden; two daughters-in-law, Vickie Lyn Barney Grange and Heidi Lynn Sacco Grange; a granddaughter, Jaycee; and two great-grandsons.
Graveside service, 12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, Huntington City Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Huntington Stake Center (240 N Main St), Huntington Utah from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
As a family, we wish to thank from the bottom of our hearts, our hospice angels, April, Audrey, and Ashley, who were there when we couldn't be. We will be forever grateful for the tender loving care they showed our mother. We also acknowledge the many friends and neighbors who were ministering angels to our mother and showed kindness and compassion over the years and especially the last few weeks.
