Juanita was born on November 3, 1937 in Milledgeville, GA to the late Willie Martin Sauls and Louise Ellen Payne Sauls. In addition to her parents, Nita was also preceded in death by: two brothers, Willy (Bill) Sauls and Leon Sauls; sister, Glenda Grimsley; and son, David White. Nita was an employee of AT&T for 34 years, where she made life long friends who she stayed in touch with by phone and Facebook. She enjoyed working in her yard and won yard of the month many times in her neighborhood in Jax, FL. Nita was also an amateur decorator who moved a lot during her career in yellow page sales offices. She always managed to find unique homes such as a log cabin on a river in Macon, GA and a carriage house in historic Savannah, GA. Nita’s greatest joy was spending time with Bryleigh, her first-born great-granddaughter. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Calhoun.
Juanita is survived by: her daughter, Cherie White Marzano of Chattanooga, TN; her son, Christopher White of Taccoa, GA; three sisters, Gloria Cole of McEntire, GA, Judy Carr of Atlanta, GA, and Diane Ray of Dublin, GA; three grandchildren, Bryan Dawkins, Rebecca Dawkins, and Jessica White Moore; three great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Dawkins, Madelyn Moore, and Aiden Luke Dawkins; and her daughters-in-law, Sandy Dawkins and Janet White. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held at her daughter’s mountain home at a later date.
