Ignatius and Elizabeth were operating an inn in Marengo County, Alabama. In late 1853 an ill traveler was brought to the inn - The family contracted Yellow Fever. Ignatius and Elizabeth both died in October 1853, followed shortly by their eldest son, Thomas. Ignatius' family had all moved to Mississippi, where his father had preceded him in death in March 1853. Elizabeth's family had all moved to Texas. Her father fetched the remaining children (except the eldest daughter, Henrietta, who married and remained in AL) and took them to Texas where he and their aunts would raise them. Under the circumstances, there probably was not time to erect permanent markers for their graves.
Finding original sources documenting Ignatius as the son of Burwell Traweek has not been easy. There is a case "CONNER vs TRAWICK's ADMR" reported in a book published in 1866 and now housed at Harvard University, titled "REPORTS OF CASES ARGUED AND DETERMINED IN THE SUPREME COURT OF ALABAMA". (It can currently be accessed Under Google Book Search). The case occupies pps 289-291 of this book, and on pg 291 clearly states that Ignatius A. Trawick is the son of Burwell Trawick.
