Matron Dies After Illness
Mrs. Rose Ellen Treanor, 54, wife of Thomas Treanor of 616 N. 17th St., died at her home Friday morning. She had been ill for six months.
She was born Nov. 15. 1902. in Indian Territory, Okla., daughter Mr and Mrs Edward O'Neill. She married Thomas Treanor in Lewistown on Oct. 13, 1919. They lived in Great Falls and Casper, Wyo., until 1924 when they moved to Spokane. Wash. They also lived in Stanford and Buffalo before coming to Billings in 1934.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors besides her husband include three sons, John Treanor of Worland, Wyo., and Michael Treanor and James Treanor, both of Billings; five daughters, Mrs. Robert Henry of Lodi, Calif., Mrs. Robert Phillips of San Pedro, Calif., Mrs. Cliff Henry of Vallejo, Calif., Mrs. William Wright of Billings and Mrs. Pat DeCellis of Rochester, N.Y.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward O'Neill of Stanford; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Nowell of Los Angeles, Mrs. Oscar Anderston of Stanford and Mrs. Ray Sutter of Port Orchard, Wash.; a half-sister, Mrs. Ruth Cato of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Walter O'Neill of Great Falls and Edward O'Neill of Grand Junction, Colo.; a half-brother, James O'Neill of Grand Junction, and 19 grandchildren.
The body is at Smith's Funeral Home.
