She was born May 8, 1930, in Webb City to Leslie James and Lucille Watson Cahill. She married Frank H. Knell Nov. 1, 1947, in Oronogo.
Betty loved her family and enjoyed genealogy and crocheting. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Relief Society president and two church missions with her husband Frank.
Surviving are her husband, Frank H. Knell, children: Frank Gaylon Knell of Tremonton, Linda Anderson of Bear River City, Becky Backerman of Lamar, Scott Knell of San Francisco, and LaNae Boatright of Stephenville, Texas; sister, Patricia Ingram; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents and twin sister, Billie Fredericksen.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Buial was at the Elwood Cemetery in Utah.
