Lois Maxine Arnold, 95, of Buda died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Liberty Village of Princeton.
She was born Nov. 9, 1922 in Buda, the daughter of Ralph Alexander and Allie LaRue (Gutshall) Roberts. She married Charles "Ty" Edgar Arnold June 6, 1942, in Kohoka, Mo. He preceded her in death April 8, 1994.
She graduated from Buda High School with the Class of 1941.
She enjoyed playing bingo, flower gardening, and visiting with friends, family and neighbors.
Surviving are one son, Ron (Bonnie) Arnold of Buda; three granddaughters, Becky Kumer of East Peoria, Rita (Jerry Kenealy) Roberts of Buda and Cindy (Kent) Harmon of Princeton; six great-grandchildren, Ian (Sarah) Kumer of East Peoria, Jared (Tracy) Kumer of East Peoria, Scott (Sean Bush) Roberts of Rockford, Nicholas (Tori DeWaele) Roberts of Wyanet, Kayla (Andrew Frese) Roberts of Findlay, Ohio, and Cody Lohman of Princeton; and four great-great-grandchildren, Brayden Moler of North Vernon, Ind., Tyler Kumer of East Peoria, and Tyler and Valerie Frese of Findlay, Ohio; two sisters, Mildred Martin and Ruth Hobrock; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; one son, Bill; two grandchildren; and four sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Gaile Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Hopeland Cemetery in Buda.
Memorials may be directed to Hopeland Cemetery, Buda Rescue Unit and Buda Community Hall.
