Lou Jean Moore, daughter of Foster Moore and wife was born Dec. 9, 1849, near Watseka, IL, departed this life on Mar. 16, 1926 at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 7 days. In the early spring of 1871 on March 4th, she was united in marriage to Charles Denton. To this union fifteen children were born. She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, ten children, thirty-nine grand children, twenty-one great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Fultz of OK. Five children have preceded her in death. Those still remaining are Elmer of Roselawn, IN, Ross of St. Anne, IL, Ed of Aurora, IL, Ernest of Momence, IL, Marion of Watseka, IL, Fred and Mrs. Cora Shepard of Brook, IN, Mrs. Iva Harms of Kankakee, IL, Mrs. Lettie Malomes of Detroit, MI and Mrs. Mary Kutras of Cleveland, OH.
She was united with the Baptist church at Hopkins Park which was their home for many years. Owing to her condition they were unable to live alone any more and about two years ago they went to live with their son, Elmer, at Roselawn, where she remained until her death. She was a sufferer of rheumatism for many years, bearing her suffering with much patience. She had partial paralysis for some time and on Mar 13th, she suffered another stroke which was the cause of her death.
Besides the family she leaves many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian church at Morocco on Friday, Mar 19th, conducted by Rev. Fitz, pastor of Roselawn, IN. Interment was made at the Swedish cemetery in IL. There were fifteen children in this
