Irvin Carl Caudle, 86, of Blackfoot, died Jan. 26, 2000, at the home of Donna and John T. Isaacs in Blackfoot. He was born Jan. 14, 1914, in St. Anthony, Idaho, the first son of Marion Irvin Caudle and Sarah Bell Daniel Caudle. He attended schools in Idaho Falls. On June 18, 1932, he married Sylvia Violet Andrews in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on April 2, 1992. He worked as a building contractor and as an engineer for Roger Brothers, and later retired as an engineer from Basic American Foods after many years of loyal service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding snowmobiles, boating, camping, traveling, dancing, and generally having a good time. He will long be remembered by all that knew him for his generosity and fun loving spirit; he was a kind and gentle man who always had a twinkle in his eye. He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son and one sister. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls, with Bishop Michael Donahoo officiating. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Packham' s Mortuary in Blackfoot, and Monday for one hour before the services at Wood Funeral Home in Idaho Falls. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
