Charles Merrill Gunnell, 80, of Connersville, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at his home. He was born on January 18, 1940, in Grant County, Kentucky, and is the son of Floyd Gunnell and Mary Mason Gunnell Bills.
Charles lived in Florida for more than 23 years, working as both a forklift driver in St. Petersburg and a welder at Bluebird Bus Factory. After retirement, he returned to Connersville, where he enjoyed going fishing, playing poker, and spending time with his family. When he was younger, he had enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna Rosengarden, of Dayton, OH, Gale (Roger) Wood, of Salt Lake City, UT, and Karen Harris, of Ramstein, Germany; two sons, Jason (Heather Willey) Gunnell and Bill Gunnell, both of Connersville; three brothers, Gary Bedwell, Ernie (Gene) Bills, and Joe Wilson; four sisters, Linda (Kenny) Leach, Cindi (Marty) Mangigian, Jody Bergen, and Shirley Sue Sparks; a brother in law, Bill (Trish) Friend; ten grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dolly Hudson and Ruby Powell, and two brothers, Billy Gunnell and Dale Gunnell.
