Mrs. Gussie Russell Is Taken
Suddenly Monday
Morning
Mrs. Gussie Russel,(sic) prominent business woman of Sayre died Monday morning as a result of a stroke of paralysis said to have been caused by high blood pressure.
Closing the store Sunday night Mrs. Russell started in her car for home and was stricken on the way, dying early the following day, without having regained consciousness.
Mrs. Russell had been a resident of Sayre for 29 years and conducted one of the city's drug stores. She was prominent in lodge, church and club work.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon and interment was in the Sayre cemetery.
