May you always walk in sunshine and God’s love around you flow
For the happiness you gave us no one will ever know.
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name
all we have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
Apart of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Your memories are our keepsakes
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts.
So many things have happened
Since you’ve been called away
So many things to share with you
Had you been left to stay.
To your resting place we visit
And place the flowers there
But only God knows the
Heartache when we turn and leave
You there. Life goes on, we know
That’s true
But nothing is the same
Since we last saw you.
