Mrs. Lamar was a retired office manager for Southwest Clinic for Women. She was a member of J. J. White Memorial Presbyterian Church in McComb, MS and attended Whitworth College in Brookhaven, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius "L. Q." Lamar; her parents, Henry Filmore Mackey and Iva May Hennington; one brother, Millard Mackey; and three sisters, Neva McClamroch, Floy Watkins and Phyllis Hollingsworth.
She was survived by one son, Dr. Curt Lamar and wife, Dr. Dana Townes Lamar of Cleveland, MS; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
