Charles went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 82. He was a Utilities Engineer for the state of Louisiana. Charles enjoyed playing baseball and going camping with his family. He was a big Tulane football fan and made sure to never miss a game. Charles enjoyed family get togethers, but he was always kept out of the kitchen to avoid any house fires. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Charles leaves behind his daughter, Shelby Jean Keen (Timothy); sons, Charles Otis “Chuck” Mulkey Jr, James Darrell Mulkey (Tommy), and Tracy Owen Mulkey (Tammy); sisters, Bessie Mae Bunch (Scotty), and JoAnn Malnar (George); brother, Dale Allen Mulkey, Sr (Renee); grandchildren, Chandler Owen Mulkey, Hunter Cole Mulkey, Megan Brooke Keen, and Leanne Elizabeth Keen Maynard (Stuart); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his loving wife, Mary Ann (Newman); and parents, C.O. and Roby (Allen) Mulkey.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Stevens Cemetery.
