THE GREENVILLE, S.C. NEWS

February 10, 1977

Perdita Carlton Davis, 82, of 25 Highland Terrace, Liberty, widow of General Morgan Davis, died Tuesday in Miami, Florida.

Born in Winchester, Tennessee, she was a retired employee of Southern Worsted Mills, Inc. and a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert A. Davis of Miami, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Paul E. Bowie Jr. of Liberty; sisters, Annie C. Kerman of Jacksonville, Florida and Gladys C. Van Vynctt of Chapel Hill, N. C.; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of Mrs. Paul E. Bowie Jr., 25 Highland Terrace, Liberty, and will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday.
