Services were Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg for Pauline Bell Hartley, 87, of Wickenburg. The Rev. Bert Follmar officiated.
Mrs. Harley died Aug. 18 in Wickenburg.
She was born Dec. 3, 1900, in LaFayette, Ind. She had lived in Arizona for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Westley Hartley, whom she married June 11, 1924 in Scott County, Ind. The couple was married by her father, the Rev. Harry M. Bell.
She was a graduate of the Louisville Conservatory of Music and Pepperdine College.
She was a retired school teacher in the Los Angeles County School District; an organizing regent of the Palo Verde Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution; member of the Friends of Museum; Chairman for the Arizona State DAR; past officer of Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; a volunteer at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum and the Wise Owl; and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Wickenburg.
Survivor include a daughter, Betty Hartley Ford of Lebanon, Ill.; a son, David Byron Hartley of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Doris Hoagland of Bradenton, Fla.; and Nancy Megredy of Wickenburg; a brother, Harry Bell of Burbank, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Calvary Baptist Church, Prescott Highway and Rose Lane, Wickenburg 85358.
