Mrs. Daisy Ann Shannon died Tuesday at her home in Saltillo Community after a five-week illness. She was 78.
Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Corinth Church in Decatur County, Tenn. The Rev. Coy Johnson officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Shannon was born in Decatur County and had lived there until moving to Saltillo about 18 months ago. She was a Methodist.
She leaves her husband, Willie Shannon; four sons, Alfred Shannon, Falcon Shannon, Cleedith Shannon and Neal Shannon, all of Saltillo; three daughters, Mrs. Eunice Thomison of Saltillo, Mrs. Eula McMurry and Mrs. Reba Shea, both of Memphis.
Daughter of Elisha "Pone" Kelley and Fruse Anna Creasy Kelley.
Married William Thomas "Willie" Shannon on April 4, 1901, Decatur Co, TN.
