CARLSBAD, Calif. Glenn Swisher, 72, 2008 Ave. of the Trees, Carlsbad, Calif. 92008, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at his home.Services were held Friday, May 12, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Oceanside, Calif. Pastor Ralph Gault officiated. Glenn had been cremated.Glenn was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Orrville to Fora and Blanche Swisher.Glenn was a man of integrity, wisdom and goodness. He moved to California upon graduating from Ohio State University to further his career. He became a successful banker and businessman and managed to achieve his dream of early retirement. More importantly, he was a wonderful husband and father. A part of his heart always belonged to his Ohio roots and family. He will be forever missed.He was a member of San Luis Rey Men’s Golf Club.Surviving are his wife, Linda Swisher, whom he married in 1968; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Barbara Swisher of Glendora, Calif.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Swisher of Wooster and Ken Swisher of Smithville; and a sister, Phyllis Hoffer of Wooster.His parents and a sister, Etta Gochnauer, died previously.
