Rosalie Mekolik Goetz, 97, of Coupland went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Friday, January 31, 2020.
Rosalie was born on January 14, 1923 in Taylor to Rosa and Frank Mekolik. She graduated from Taylor High School in 1941. She married William F. Goetz on November 27, 1948 and they were married for 52 years.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; husband William (Red) Goetz; sisters Estelle Nunn, Alice Kopecky, Evelyn Sandahl, Ruby Denham and Dotsie Hlanak.
Rosalie is survived by her son, Michael (Jane) Goetz of Pontotoc, TX; three daughters: Becky White of Round Rock, Pat Dickey of Round Rock, and Pam (Herbert) Blomquist of Austin; six grandchildren Deanna Beasley, Lauren Sweeney, Brad Goetz, Devon Womack, Michael Dickey and Matt Dickey; eight great grandchildren Daniel Beasley, Dustin Beasley, Dillon Beasley, Julienne Sweeney, Ford Sweeney, Jaxon Dickey, Marley and Lucy Dickey; one great-great granddaughter, McKinley Rae Beasley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at St. Peter’s Church in Coupland, Texas at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow St. Peters Church Cemetery.
