Death of Mrs. Putman
Thelma Jewell Putman, wife of Charles Putman, died at the family home in Waurika Friday,, August 4, after an illness of but a few days. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.K. Echols who reside south of town and has been reared in this community. She was born November 19, 1898, and in 1917 was married to Mr. Putman. The husband and one child, Clyde, age 3, survive.
Funeral services were conducted from the home in Waurika Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Hubert Bowles and interment was made in the Sugden Cemetery.
