Born to Francis Marion Burke (1826-1912) & his first wife, Sarah "Sally" Sheppard Burke (1827–1879), both of Tennessee, who married Jan. 3, 1850, in Jackson County, TN.

Mary married 1) Jesse Pierson (1841-after 1880) of Missouri about 1868, probably in Walnut, KS.

Two children:

• William Albert Pierson (1869-1922)

• Lillian Opal Pierson Coulston (1871-1944)

Jesse and Mary seem to have divorced by 1880, when he is living with his brother's family in Kansas City, KS. Both he and Mary, who was then living with her father, were listed as "widowed."

Mary married 2) John Thomas Kelley (1853-1941) on July 7, 1880, in Collin County, TX.

Three children:

• John Francis Kelley (1881–1944)

• Olvie Borda Kelley (1884–1979)

• Roxie M. Kelley McClure (1886–1977)

John & Mary moved to Baylor County, TX, before 1910 and lived there through 1930. They moved in with daughter Roxie McClure in Sayre, OK, in 1931, and Mary died there later that year.

I believe the headstone birth year is incorrect. Per 1900 census, Mary was born Dec. 1850, not 1849.
