Alexander David "Alex" Cavanah, 22, of Edinboro, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie.

Alex was born in Manchester, NH, on May 9, 1997, a son of Colleen (Doty) and the late David Cavanah.

On August 13, 2016, Alex married Kaylee L. Johnson; she survives.

A 2015 graduate of Meadville High School, Alex spent 1 1/2 years at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, as he was preparing to enter the ministry through the Church of the Nazarene. He was scheduled to deliver his first formal sermon next month although he was known to preach by example. Alex had worked various jobs and was currently employed by the Edinboro Wendy's. He was very artistic and enjoyed working with his hands creating pottery and ceramics. He also enjoyed archery and experimenting with new adventures. His attitude was always optimistic and he was awesome with little children. Among other things, Alex will be most remembered for putting others first as was evidenced by his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever missed.

In addition to his wife Kaylee, Alex is survived by his mother Colleen (Doty) Cavanah of Meadville, three sisters Megan Cavanah of Meadville, Sarah Cavanah of Akron, OH, Rebbekagrace Cavanah of Meadville, a brother Kyle Cavanah (Jenna) of Linesville, maternal grandparents Dennis and Carrie Doty of Meadville, two nieces and three nephews.

In addition to his father, Alex was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents David Cavanah and Linda Gesnaldo.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday, January 30, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, at Church of the Nazarene, 851 Washington St., Meadville, with Pastor Rodney Johnson, father in law, officiating.

Alex will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
