Mr. DeWitt Barron, 57, of 229 Valley Street, died Tuesday morning following an apparent heart attack suffered while at work. He was a native of Harrisville, but had made his home in Jackson for the past 15 years. At the time of his death he was associated with the Central farmers Market. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, a member of the Mississippi State Alumni Association, the Harrisville Masonic Lodge no. 336 and of Grace Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Otho Eugene Barron of Marina, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Rubin Renfroe of Jackson; and one sister, Mrs. Leo E. Murray of Jackson. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Wright & Ferguson Chapel, with Rev. James A. Walker, his pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
