Robert A. Wilson, 85, of Uniondale died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Wilson retired from K-Mart as a foreman in 1983 after 33 years of service. He also worked in maintenance at Timber Ridge Golf Course for 20 years.
He was an Air Force veteran with service during World War II. Mr. Wilson attended Bluffton Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Uniondale Fire Department, Markle VFW and was a former president of the Uniondale Town Board.
He was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Wells County to Charles A. and Margaret (Hatfield) Wilson, and he graduated from East Union Center High School in 1939. His marriage on Oct. 25, 1947, in Whitley County was to Laurel M. Fulk, who survives.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah A. Charleston of Uniondale; sons Bruce W. Wilson of Ossian, James A. Wilson of Bluffton and Stacey R. Wilson, Steve B. Wilson and Roger B. Wilson, all of Uniondale; sisters Nancy Johnson of Bluffton, Agnes Baker of Huntington and Janet Cooper of Muncie; brothers Everett Wilson of Markle, Max Wilson of Bluffton, and Philip Wilson of Florida; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
