VOLUNTEER SERVICE:
Fern loved to serve. In her youth, she served as a missionary in the Texas Louisiana States Mission, where she met Merle. Throughout her life, Fern served in many teaching and leadership callings with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She particularly loved serving in the Jordan River Temple. Together, she and Merle served as missionaries in Kentucky Louisville and California San Bernardino, which helped inspire forty-eight members of Fern's posterity to serve missions, too.
