He was the son of Edward and Ruth (Gray) Garman. On Aug 20, 1966, he married Sharon Baucher, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are three daughters: Amy (Chris) Baer, Worthington, Angie (Scott) Gehle, Ft. Recovery, and Ann (Jesse) Pollack, St. Anthony; a son, Andy Garman, Adrian, MI; a sister, Jan (Jeff) Tincher, Celina; in-laws: Dick (Trish) and David (Norma) Baucher, both Celina, Susan Hagen, Jenison, MI, and Sandy (Col. Kevin) Stevens, Florence, TX; and twelve grandchildren.

A 1960 graduate of Celina High School, he retired from S & K Products, was a volunteer fireman in Coldwater for 18 years and a former member of the Coldwater Eagles. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed fishing, music and trains.
A graveside service will be at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
