Ophelia was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Dierks, Howard County, Ark., and lived most of her life in Fort Worth. She was active in her church and community, her lifelong passion was traveling. Her favorite trip was to Israel, where she walked the Via Delarosa and was baptized in the River Jordan. She visited six of the seven continents. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Earl Mounce of Fort Worth, a well-known and respected businessman; her sisters, Ruth Hill, Mary Trussell and Tulsa Carter; and one brother, Arlin Forgy.
Survivors: Twin brother, Wade Forgy of Lewistown, Mont.; sons, John Mounce and wife, Carla, of Justin and Gaston Mounce and wife, Cheryl, of Jasper, Ark.; grandchildren, Tiffany and Larry Lord of Hurst, John Mounce of Bedford, Erich and Abigail Mounce of Vancouver, Wash., Blake and Misty Mounce of Dallas and Raleigh Smith of Fort Worth; and great-grandchildren, Chandler, Cameron and Gracie Loyd, Logan and Nicholas Mounce and James Smith.
